Boiling your weave is a quick and easy way to revitalize it. Boil the weave in a saucepan with some olive oil and leave-in conditioner, and allow it to dry. Apply extra conditioner while the weave is drying to give the weave extra shine and moisture.
Does boiling hair extensions work?
The boiling method works on all hair types! I knew someone who bought a $12 synthetic wig and of course, it didn’t last longer than two seconds, but they were able to revive it by boiling it. Their wig had a few matted areas, but they simply cut them out and styled as normal.
Will boiling water damage hair?

Why do human hair wigs smell?
A mass of wet or even damp human hair gathered under a wig cap can produce that musty odour and attach itself to the base of your wig. Can you dip human hair?
Unlike synthetic braiding hair, which can be dipped in hot water to set the ends, human hair is again much more silkier, so a popular method of sealing off the ends, is to use nail glue (yes nail glue) to keep the ends from unraveling.
How does apple cider vinegar revive weave?
Apple cider vinegar has a lower pH level than your weave, so soaking the weave in vinegar helps restore pH balance and reseal the hair’s cuticles. Don’t worry about the smell! Once you’re all done the process, it will be washed out.
How do you fix stiff weave?
Use a sulfate-free shampoo on your stiff weave to erase that buildup. Shampoo your hair no more than every seven to 10 days. Rather than vigorously rubbing the shampoo into your weave, gently smooth it on your tresses to avoid agitating the weave. Once the shampoo is rinsed out of your weave, let it air dry.
